Barn cats

These are the photos of barn cats from yesterday’s surprise photo shoot. It was such a delight to watch these cats frolic and play while I photographed them.  Getting these shots required lying prone in the grass and dirt, which I was happy to do to get such adorable photos!  If you know me (even a little bit) you know I’m a dog person, but you may not know that I also love cats.  Unfortunately, only one of my three dogs is cat-friendly, so I can’t have any cats.  Which is probably a good thing, because after photographing these cats, I wanted to take them all home with me!

Aren’t they sweet! I love them against the faded red of the old barn. It looks as though they use the end piece of wood in that first shot as a scratching post! :)

Hi Flo and H! These cats were super sweet and I had so much fun photographing them! I really wanted to take them all home with me. And you are right about the scratching post – I actually have a photo of one of the black cats doing just that! :-)

They are so cute and what great shots you got of all of them. I have a black and white kitty, although he is much larger than this one. I really love the way you captured the gray cat and what lovely eyes!
