Barn cats
These are the photos of barn cats from yesterday’s surprise photo shoot. It was such a delight to watch these cats frolic and play while I photographed them. Getting these shots required lying prone in the grass and dirt, which I was happy to do to get such adorable photos! If you know me (even a little bit) you know I’m a dog person, but you may not know that I also love cats. Unfortunately, only one of my three dogs is cat-friendly, so I can’t have any cats. Which is probably a good thing, because after photographing these cats, I wanted to take them all home with me!

Aren’t they sweet! I love them against the faded red of the old barn. It looks as though they use the end piece of wood in that first shot as a scratching post!
Hi Flo and H! These cats were super sweet and I had so much fun photographing them! I really wanted to take them all home with me. And you are right about the scratching post – I actually have a photo of one of the black cats doing just that!
Great shots! And I loved the horses yesterday, too. So beautiful. I’m always amazed by your talent and patience.
Thank you Shary for your kind words! I am so glad you enjoyed the cat and horse photos – it was a very fun photo shoot! Hope you and Lola are enjoying the long holiday weekend!
Such a nice set of kitty photos.
Hi David and thank you so much for your nice comment!
They are so cute and what great shots you got of all of them. I have a black and white kitty, although he is much larger than this one. I really love the way you captured the gray cat and what lovely eyes!
Hi Misty Shores and thank you! I’m going to enter the photo of the gray cat in a photo contest. He was such a beautiful cat and really sweet too. Thanks for visiting!
What precious cats, they look very much at home and loving’ life. Great composition in these shots, Laurie!
Hi Robin and thank you! It was such a joy to photograph these cats! I hope you and Grace are enjoying the Labor Day holiday!
Great shots Laurie. I love the little black cat.
Hi Lionel and thank you! That little black cat was a hoot – I wanted to take him home with me.
