Red gate on Timbers Road
I love to discover interesting things like this red gate simply by traveling a road I haven’t been down before. I’ve passed by Timbers Road hundreds of times in the past year, but recently decided to turn on to it and explore this narrow unpaved road. It has opened a door to rural beauty just waiting to be photographed. Minimal post-processing in Photoshop included adding a Jessica Drossin Texture (“Halo” from Texture Pack 1).

very cool pic….the simple subjects are the best…
Hi Fat Joe and thanks so much! I agree about simple subjects being the best – it’s fun to find beauty and interest in everyday things that might otherwise go unnoticed. Thanks for visiting!
What a fantastic picture. The gate surrounded by all the beautiful plants and trees made a great scene. Hugs
Hi Chancy and Mumsy and thank you! I hope you enjoy the long weekend! Hugs back to you!
Love it, beautiful simplicity!!
Thanks Misty Shores! Hope you’re having a great holiday!
Nice Laurie. Wondering the country is just as fun as walking the city.
Thanks Lionel! I agree! Cities are filled with action and people, but the countryside has a lot to offer too if you take the time to see it all. People who think there is nothing to do in the country have no imagination!
